After negotiations with Plymouth Citybus, the supporters club can announce that the Football Specials will run for all Saturday Argyle home matches for the 2012-2013 season.

ARGYLE V ALDERSHOT. MONDAY 9TH APRIL 2012 SPONSORED BY THE PLYMOUTH ARGYLE SUPPORTERS PLYMOUTH BRANCH.
To give Argyle financial support, the committee of the supporters club agreed to sponsor the above match. The sum involved would be approx £1,500. This sponsorship meant that 22 supporters would be eligivle to be entertianed by the club on the day. Keith Mitchell kindly agreed that he would make all the necessary arrangements with the club, and select those supporters to attend. With his knowledge of fans who regularly follow Argyle away with the ~Argyle travel club, a draw was made to select the 22 to attend. This seemed a very fair way of giving those people who regularly spend their money supporting the club something in return.
On the day of the match, Keith met each of us at the players entrance with the appropriate tickets. The day then included a tour of the ground, a meal, seats in the Grandstand, a guard of honour by the ladies of the group as the team took to the pitch, and the selection of Man of the Match. Dave Rowntree was on hand to take photographs at various opportunities.
Keiths arrangements passed off excellently. He was embarrassed when I thanked him on all our behalfs at the end, but he received a very warm round of applause and verbal thanks from all concerned.
How great it was that Argyle won 1-0. To sum up the day from someone like me who has supported the club since October 1950 - IT WAS BRILLIANT!
I know that Keith has received many thank you cards for his effort. When you experience his organisational abilities it iis no wonder the away travel over so many years, under his leadership ,been so successful.
